Using the new line of Matrix Style Link Products, celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath added texture to Jordana Brewster’s red carpet “Furious 7” premiere look, pinning one side up for a boho-chic feel. Her step-by-step guide is detailed as follows.
Matrix Style Link Volume Booster was applied throughout Jordana Brewster’s entire head, and then a center part was formed. With an Ibiza boar bristle round brush, the actress’ hair was blown dry to add volume, “especially at the crown and to polish the ends.”
Matrix Style Link Height Riser was added to the crown section of the head after the hair was completely dried and just prior to teasing, because according to Kylee, “This product really helps to hold a tease.” Texture was added with a two-inch sized curling iron, “spraying each section lightly with Matrix Style Link Texture Builder before curling for a tussled sexy texture…not straight, but not curly either.”
After the tousled look was achieved, half of the hair was pulled up, section by section, and secured with bobby pins. “A small little twist was created to cover up where the pins were.” Brewster’s style was completed with Matrix Style Link Style Fixer for “hold and shine.”
To simulate Jordana Brewster’s rich mocha hair color seen at the “Furious 7” premiere Wednesday night, Kylee recommends to use Matrix ColorInsider and for added gloss, which is ideal forspring hairstyles, the celebrity hairstylist suggests Colorgraphics Lacquer in Clear. The Matrix professional hair color is only available in salons.
